Statement
Visual artist Alex Burdiak moves between a range of disciplines and is not necessarily limited to a defined medium or mode of working. This varied approach encourages a diversity in both the use of materials and the subject matter that informs his practice. An engagement with process based activities and formal qualities such as colour and composition go alongside an inherent and personal commentary to produce work. These ideas may take the form of drawing, sculpture, painting or photography and can be realised without a direct relational aesthetic or obvious theme.
